From elaborate dinnerware to simple and clean everyday kitchen china, Susan can create a design which is yours alone and brings special meaning and memories to every meal time.
We are happy to put your chosen design on a few plates and bowls to make a starter set or can accomodate a full dinner service for any number.
We only use the best quality English bone china, hand-made in Stoke on Trent.
Our workshop is located in Longton, an area of Stoke famous for bone china manufacture.
The main ingredients of china clay and bone ash are sourced in the uk.
We only use green energy for the firing process
Artwork needed for the decoration is created by Susan after consultation with the client.
A proof is made to show how the final design will look.
Once the design is approved the china is decorated in our workshop by skilled crafts men and women using templates which are made by us.
We have the option to screen print the artwork or use our state of the art digital ceramic printers.
Our lithographers apply the templates on glaze before the china is fired for the first time in our kilns. Coloured rims are applied by hand before the china is returned to the kiln for its final firing.
Bone china is very strong due to the added cattle bone ash which makes it chip resistant.
It is dishwasher proof (unless decorated with metallic rims).

Susan Rose China designed and manufactured our wonderful dinner service china. The whole process was amazingly easy, of excellent quality and the delivery time was spot on. What more can you ask?!
In 2016 The Royal Windsor Horse Show, hosted The 90th Birthday Celebrations for HM The Queen – the live event was awarded a BAFTA. Before the evening performances, Dinner was held in the Royal Box at the Show Ground, and to mark these special occasions, a dinner and dessert plate were commissioned from Susan Rose China. The particular attention to detail of the design by Susan, will ensure that these plates will be collectors’ items in years to come. The service was exemplary, nothing too difficult (and there were a few changes!) and the quality is as you would expect from fine bone English china. I couldn’t recommend Susan and her Team more highly.

Reviewing a custom dinner service and a mug
I was given a beautiful bone china mug as a gift from a friend, it had a bespoke design made specifically for the Royal Engineers in the British Army, where I served. I love it, and i use it every morning to make a large mug of coffee in. Recently I was in the process of buying a property and wanted a customised dinner service to reflect the name of it ‘Yorkshire Rose Cottage’. I saw the logo for Susan Rose China at the base of my favourite mug so, as I was familiar with their high quality work, I didn’t hesitate to contact them with my design. I ordered a 12-piece set of 4 x dinner plates, 4 x salad plates and 4 x bowls, I also ordered 2 x pasta bowls to compliment the set. I loved that I could order whatever quantity of each that I required and that I could choose the design that I wanted. My dinner service took a few weeks to make, and in that time I had regular liaison from Susan Rose China, and once I agreed the template my dinner service was made and delivered to me in Leeds. The dinner service is absolutely stunning, I absolutely adore it, friends and family are always commenting on how beautiful and well made it is. My experience with the team at Susan Rose China was outstanding from start to finish, we knew that we wanted a unique design using only the colour green that would work across a whole range of china.
