This English bone china half pint tankard mug reflects the importance of the iconic Spitfire and its development which did so much to protect our shores during the Second World War and in particular during the Battle of Britain.

The images are all hand-drawn by Susan and it is interspersed with facts about the development of the Spitfire – some of which are well known and others which are not so well known but nevertheless were key to its production.

The inside rim bears Churchill’s famous words “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few”

The mug is finished with hand-painted blue rims and may be personalised by adding a name or a message to the base of the mug.

A perfect gift for anyone with an interest in aviation and a great choice for Father’s Day!

The china is gift wrapped in an English made presentation box.

All our china is hand-made and hand-decorated in the Longton district of Stoke-on-Trent.
