Description
The 1990 Gulf War, also known as Operation Desert Storm, began after Iraq, led by Saddam Hussein, invaded Kuwait, prompting international condemnation.
A U.S.-led coalition launched a military offensive in January 1991 to liberate Kuwait.
The conflict showcased advanced military technology and ended with Iraq’s defeat and Kuwait’s liberation.
