A selection of delightful seasonal Garden Flower mugs all made of English bone china and featuring a design from one of Susan’s original Floral painting and inspired from her Northamptonshire garden.
As a student Susan started to paint flowers from places she visited and over many years this extensive collection of plant studies became the basis of her floral library. Susan, like her mother and sister, is a very keen gardener and her floral studies on both vellum and watercolour have become her most loved pieces of work.
Throughout history many gardeners and artists have created many natural history paintings which are now very familiar and much loved by those of us who love to garden.
This range of mugs featuring Snowdrops, Violets, Primroses, Bluebells, Daffodils, Lily of the Valley, Roses, Daisies, Poppies and Hellebores make lovely inexpensive gifts for those gardeners or flower lovers in your life – there is nothing better than sipping that quintessential cup of tea or coffee from an English bone china mug hand-decorated with your favourite seasonal flower!
If your favourite flower is not here, then please contact us to commission one from our extensive library of images.
If you like Susan’s floral paintings you might be interested to see more of her work on our English bone china, such as the design featured on our large square Season’s Dishes or on our birthday Trinket Boxes.
All our china is hand-made by one of our skilled china makers in the historic Longton district of Stoke-on-Trent and hand decorated by our Longton workshop. Longton was one of the original five towns that formed the potteries and was particularly associated with the production of English bone china. We at Susan Rose China are proud to support British manufacturing at its finest.
