Creative force behind Susan Rose China

Susan is the creative force behind Susan Rose China and has always been passionate about the industrial heritage that is English bone china.

Through hard work, diligence and spending much time in Stoke-on-Trent, Susan learnt how to reproduce designs on to the china with the help of a ceramic printer. Most of her initial designs are paper based using, pen, ink and water colour, but in recent years she has spent more time designing on a computer with an electronic sketch book.

Susan has a varied role which includes a close working relationship with suppliers and printmakers in Stoke-on-Trent and all members of the Susan Rose team at the design studio in Northamptonshire.

Charles is Susan’s husband and is the co-founder of Susan Rose China.  His passion is technology and as part of this role he manages all aspects of the computer design software to translate Susan’s designs into a printable format for use on the English bone china.  He is also the Financial Director and works closely in the day-to-day running of the business.

Viv has worked at Susan Rose china for the past three years and is both the first point of contact for corporate orders and enquiries. She oversees the smooth running of the business including liaising closely with both suppliers and print makers in Stoke-on-Trent.

Andy comes from a long line of Stoke-on-Trent pottery workers dating back 300 years. He has been working in the industry for 36 years during which time he has been involved in all sides of the industry and founded his present company, International Colour Printing 14 years ago. They use traditional silk screen printing techniques hand gilding and hand printing to decorate the larger corporate orders for Susan Rose China.
